Los Angeles Kings 2015-16 Regular Season:
Game 14 vs. Florida, November 7, 2015, 1pm PST
Hoping to rebound from their Thursday-night loss to Columbus, the Los Angeles Kings continue their home stand on Saturday afternoon as they play host to the 5-5-3 Florida Panthers, who are looking to leave their tour of the Golden State with a win.
Having lost in San Jose and Anaheim already, the Panthers are hoping for two points before they head back east, and if they get production from leading-scorer Jaromir Jagr, they should be in good shape. After all, despite being 43, Jagr leads his team with six goals and a share of the points lead with 10. Of course, when the Panthers come to town, it means that former King Willie Mitchell is making his return to the place where he hoisted his two Stanley Cups. Through 13 games thus far, the veteran blueliner has two assists and a +3 rating.
Saturday marks the first of two meetings between the Kings and Panthers this season. The clubs will meet again on Nov. 23 at the BB&T Center. Last season, the clubs split their season series with the home team winning on both occasions. The Kings will hope to keep that pattern going on Saturday.
The Kings are hoping that a better effort is in store than Thursday as they hope to pick up their first victory of this current home stand. We’ll see if they have what it takes on Saturday to do just that.
Enjoy the game!
