Los Angeles Kings 2015-16 Regular Season:
Game 22 @ Tampa Bay, November 25, 2015, 4:30pm PST

After snapping their two-game skid on Monday, the Los Angeles Kings look to begin a new winning streak as they hope to end their road trip on a high note. On Wednesday, the Kings close out said trip with a visit to Amalie Arena to take on the defending Eastern Conference Champion, the 10-9-3 Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Kings took both games of the season series last year with Jonathan Quick winning in both outings. The last time the silver-and-black were at Amalie Arena was back on Feb. 7 when they chased big netminder Ben Bishop from the net. Unfortunately, Alec Martinez was injured during said game, sidelining the defenseman for a number of weeks. The Kings, though, are not concerned about the past as they simply want to keep their winning ways going before returning home to close out November.

For the Lightning, things are interesting right now. Entering Wednesday, they find themselves in a four-way tie for the top wild card spot in the East while sitting just two points behind the Ottawa Senators, who occupy second place in the Northeast Division. The Bolts enter Wednesday winners of two-in-a-row as they look to change their recent luck against the silver-and-black.

Steven Stamkos leads the Bolts in scoring thus far with 11 goals and 17 assists. However, in seven career games against the Kings, Stamkos has just one goal. He will look to change that on Wednesday. Nikita Kucherov, who scored against Los Angeles last season, is second on his team in points with 13 (six goals, seven assists).

Jonathan Quick is coming off a solid 33-save performance in Sunrise and will look to continue that in Tampa. The TLC Line scored on Monday as did Alec Martinez who has been arguably the most impressive member of the silver-and-black so far this season.

One team will look for a third win in a row while the other simply wants to garner as much momentum as they can before heading home. We’ll see what gives on Wednesday night.

Enjoy the game!
