Los Angeles Kings 2015-16 Regular Season:
Game 64 vs. Anaheim, March 5, 2016, 1pm PST
This rivalry just keeps getting better, and Saturday should prove to be no exception as the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks meet at STAPLES Center in a tie for top spot in the Pacific.
This will be the fourth of five meetings between the two clubs this season with the Ducks holding the edge by a 2-1 count. They also enter Saturday’s matinee winners of 10-straight games, so the Kings will definitely have their work cut out for them.
When the Kings and Ducks met in Anaheim this past Sunday, Corey Perry netted a hat-trick en route to his team’s 4-2 win.
The Kings, though, have had Tanner Pearson as their hottest hand as of late. In his last six games, Pearson is a plus-six with five goals and six points. But the Kings will need to bring their best defensive game and more importantly, stay out of the penalty box. On Sunday, the Ducks scored three power-play goals.
The Freeway Faceoff storyline seems to get better and better with each day making Saturday’s contest the most anticipated matchup of the season.
We will see who comes out on top.
Enjoy the game!
