Los Angeles Kings 2015-16 Regular Season:
Game 71 vs. Boston, March 19, 2016, 7:30pm PST

On Feb. 9, they had their biggest offensive output of the season with a very convincing 9-2 victory. However, should the Los Angeles Kings hope for similar success against the 39-25-8 Boston Bruins this time around, they will have to do against a team that has gone 23-9-3 on the road this season.

Despite their great record away from TD Garden, though, the Bruins are coming off a Friday night loss in Anaheim where they lost 4-0. Since Jonas Gustavsson started, expected Tuukka Rask to get the call in the Boston goal on Saturday at STAPLES Center. The B’s also lost in San Jose on Tuesday so they will be looking to avoid the California sweep.

Should the Bruins hope to leave the Golden State with a victory, they will have to earn it. Aside from their lopsided loss nearly six weeks earlier, the B’s are facing a Kings team which has won three-in-a-row and points in their last six. In addition, the Kings have seemed to have found their playoff stride so opponents should beware.

For the Kings, they are getting plenty of offensive support right now. Anze Kopitar is coming off a night where he tied the game before scoring the OT-winner while Jeff Carter is coming off a three-assist performance. Even captain Dustin Brown is turning a corner as he is coming off goals in his last three outings.

The Kings will be looking for the season sweep while hoping to keep their lead in the Pacific Division. The Bruins, though, may have something to say about that.

We will see how this plays out.

Enjoy the game!
