Los Angeles Kings 2015-16 Regular Season:
Game 74 @ Winnipeg, March 24, 2016, 5pm PST
After winning four-straight games, the Los Angeles Kings have suddenly lost back-to-back games. On Thursday, they will hope to end the slide as they look to close out their road trip with a win against the 30-37-6 Winnipeg Jets.
Thursday marks the second of three meetings between the Kings and Jets this season. Los Angeles took the first meeting by a 4-1 count at the MTS Centre back on Oct. 27. Milan Lucic scored a late tiebreaker in said game to propel the silver-and-black to victory.
For the Kings, they will be missing the services of Kris Versteeg once again who has missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury. Due to personal reasons, Tanner Pearson missed Los Angeles’s last game and his status is unknown. If he doesn’t play, expect Nic Dowd to suit up for his second-career NHL game.
As for the Jets, while they will not be making the playoffs this year, they do expect to fight hard and play spoiler if the opportunity arises. However, the Jets have lost 15 of their last 20 on home ice while going just 1-for-34 on the power play in their last 10 games. This is something that the Kings must take advantage of.
We will see if the silver-and-black can end their road swing with a win.
Enjoy the game!
