Los Angeles Kings 2015-16 Regular Season:
Game 79 @ Vancouver, April 4, 2016, 7pm PST
It is hard to believe but the Los Angeles Kings are embarking on their final road trip of the regular season. The two-game trip starts on Monday night when the silver-and-black visit Vancouver to take on the 29-36-13 Canucks.
The Kings are 3-1-0 against the Canucks this season which includes outscoring them 10-1 over the course of their last two meetings. The last time the Kings visited Vancouver was on Dec. 28 when they won by a 5-0 count, backed by a flawless 27-save performance by Jonathan Quick. It goes without saying that the Kings will be looking for similar success this time around.
As per LA Kings Insider, Brayden McNabb will likely play on Monday despite getting a stick around the eye on Saturday. The Kings nonetheless called up defenseman Kevin Gravel from Ontario but it is unknown as to whether or not he will play. He has played four games for the silver-and-black thus far.
For the Kings, they enter Monday’s game one point behind Anaheim for first in the Pacific. The Ducks defeated Dallas 3-1 on Sunday night to regain top spot in the division. Monday may see the Kings retake the lead over an idle Ducks squad.
After going winless in 10 games (0-8-1), the Canucks have won two-in-a-row. So, while they may not be making the playoffs this year, they still have their pride as they will look to end their season series with Los Angeles on a winning note.
Enjoy the game!
