Los Angeles Kings 2016 Playoffs:
Western Quarter Final
Game 1 vs. San Jose, April 14, 2016, 7:30pm PST
For the fourth time in six years, the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks will meet in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Kings host Game 1 on Thursday night and you can be sure that this opening game will not disappoint.
During the regular season, the Sharks went 3-1-1 against the Kings while taking two of those games at STAPLES Center.
Matt Nieto and Marc-Edouard Vlasic, who were each injured for the Sharks, will be in the lineup for Game 1. For the Kings, meanwhile, they will likely get defenseman Alec Martinez back in the lineup who missed the final four games of the regular season with an undisclosed injury.
In goal, it will be the two ex-teammates as Jonathan Quick takes on Martin Jones who will be making his playoff debut on Thursday.
There’s nothing left to say except to drop the puck so we can add another exciting chapter to this already-intense state rivalry.
Enjoy the game!
